HMD has expanded its feature phone portfolio with the launch of Nokia 123 Shield. The company is presenting it as its most affordable rugged feature phone, which has been specially designed for people working outdoors and users looking for a backup phone. At present, its global price has not been officially announced, but its price in retail stores in Bulgaria and Greece has been seen between 35 to 40 euros (approximately ₹ 3,500 to ₹ 4,000).

Features and specifications of Nokia 123 Shield
The design of Nokia 123 Shield has been kept very strong and useful. The edges of the phone have a textured plastic finish, which makes it easy to hold. There is a rubber cover on the ports at the bottom for protection from water, dust and sand. Inside it, a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack are available.

The phone runs on S30+ operating system and has Unisoc SC6531E processor. It has 4MB RAM and 4MB internal storage. To increase storage, MicroSD card up to 32GB is also supported. The phone has a 2.4 inch QVGA display. There is a QVGA camera and LED flash at the back, which can be used for general photography.

FM radio and flashlight
FM radio is provided in Nokia 123 Shield, which also works without wired headphones. Apart from this, the phone also has a built-in torch, which HMD has said is brighter than the older Nokia 110 model.

Network and Battery
This feature phone supports only 2G network (GSM 900/1800) and has Dual Mini SIM slot. However, 2G networks are being gradually shut down in many countries, so be sure to check 2G availability in your area before purchasing.

According to HMD, the Nokia 123 Shield is capable of delivering up to 19 days of battery life on a single charge, making it a great option for long-term use. The weight of Nokia 123 Shield is 108 grams. This phone will be available in two attractive colors: Green and Purple.
