In scientific terms, this process is called condensation. Inside the AC is an ice cold evaporator coil. Whenever the hot air blowing from the room hits the cold coils in this cone, the moisture in the air liquefies overnight, turning into droplets and raining down. It is not otherwise seen in the monsoons, but artificial waterfalls are formed during the monsoons.

The water drops that seep down the coil first go to the drain pan inside the AC and accumulate. The water then flows out through the narrow pipe, which flows like rain. The problem is when the mouth is completely closed due to accumulation of dust and dirt. At that time, the water did not find a way out and backfired. The water falls inside the room from the AC.

In all seasons but not equal water falls from AC. Its remote control is in the hands of nature! Especially during patchy hot days or monsoon season when the humidity in the air is high, the amount of water fall increases when the AC absorbs excess water vapor to keep the room comfortable. This is why more water is seen rushing through the drain pipe in wet or cloudy weather than in dry days.
