New Delhi [भारत]July 24 (ANI): Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) said the government has agreed to their request to hold talks at a neutral venue on Friday. The party has reiterated its call to put forward its demands, including the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, which is one of the main demands of the students. This discussion will take place in the Constitution Club of India.
The development came after activist Sonam Wangchuk ended her 26-day hunger strike at Medanta Hospital in the presence of Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh. CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das told reporters that the discussion had been called for and welcomed the government's decision to hold it at a neutral venue. "Called for discussion tomorrow, we are very happy that the government has agreed to our request that it be held at a neutral venue. The Constitution Club of India has been chosen for this," Das said.
'Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation is our main demand'
CJP spokesperson Vaishnavi Gaur said, "The government has agreed to meet us at a neutral venue. We will put forward our demands, which we have stood by since day one. There are four demands: Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. Second, compensation for the families... All FIRs lodged against innocent protesters should be withdrawn."
Sonam Wangchuk ends hunger strike after 26 days
CJP worker Abhijit Dipke on Friday said after Sonam Wangchuk ended her 26-day hunger strike that her life is "very precious to this country" and lauded her extraordinary courage and sacrifice. He said Sonam Wangchuk "risked her life" to "wake up the conscience of the entire nation".
'Wangchuk's life is precious for the country'
In a post on Twitter, Dipke said, "We are relieved and grateful that Sonam sir has ended her hunger strike after 26 days. Sir, thank you for your extraordinary courage and sacrifice. By risking your life, you awakened the conscience of the entire nation. Your life is too precious for this country." Dipke further said, "Until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns, the peaceful protest of the Cockroach Janata Party at Jantar Mantar will continue."

Wangchuk said, "Just now, in the presence of Union Ministers JP Nadda and Dr Jitendra Singh and senior leaders of the apex body of Leh Ladakh, I broke my fast after 26 days. Earlier, 65 MPs from different political parties had met me or signed a letter requesting me to break the fast. This was done after lengthy negotiations on various conditions and in view of the possible violence in the country. I will explain the conditions in detail in a separate video soon. In the meantime, all of you are requested to be very cautious about not allowing any kind of violence to happen anywhere."
'This decision shows confidence in Modi government'
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said that this development reaffirms the faith in the Modi government. "A while ago, Sonam Wangchuk broke her fast... It is clear that this decision shows confidence in the Modi government... Her breaking the fast also puts a strong seal on the tough steps being taken by the Modi government...
