For Miss Diva Supranational 2025 Avni Gupta , the road to the international stage has been as much about self-discovery as it has been about preparation. Avni, who will represent India at Miss Supranational 2026 in Poland later this month, will compete against delegates from 67 countries. She says, “I’m so excited, I don’t want nervousness to take over this experience. This is my first international trip, so I’m looking forward to meeting women from different parts of the world, learning from them and experiencing Poland.”

Avni will be competing in sub-contests such as Supra Chat, Supra Model of the Year, Miss Influencer Opportunity, Supra Fan Vote and From The Group Up Initiative. Representing India comes with expectations and Avni embraces them wholeheartedly. “India has always been considered a strong contender at beauty pageants and I want to live up to that legacy. The preparation here goes far beyond beauty. We work on communication, personality, awareness and confidence. Looking back, I can genuinely say this journey has transformed me. I’ve discovered so much about myself, about people and about the world.”

One of her biggest personal challenges came long before the international competition — moving to Mumbai alone. “I came here with no friends and no family. Coming from Agra and then living in Delhi, Mumbai was completely different. On top of that, I was entering the glamour and pageant world. It felt overwhelming initially, but adapting to a new city and a new environment has made me much stronger. Today, I’m proud of the person I’ve become.”

That growth is reflected in her social initiative, Beyond Sight, Beyond Limits, which supports visually impaired children by improving access to education and career opportunities. She says, “It all started when I volunteered as a scribe for a visually impaired student during college. The conversations I had afterwards completely changed my perspective. I realised they have immense talent, but what often holds them back is accessibility and guidance. Through Beyond Sight, Beyond Limits, we provide career counselling, mentorship, audiobook recordings and even reflective safety jackets for visually impaired people travelling at night. We’re also building a volunteer community that can record audiobooks and write exams as scribes. The goal is simple — to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity.”

For the upcoming Miss Supranational 2026 pageant, Avni will wear an evening gown by Vazaneh by Prbhjiit Maniktala, inspired by the grandeur of Renaissance architecture. The gown blends sculptural elegance with contemporary couture. Hand-embroidered using traditional aari and zardozi techniques, the creation is crafted in Italian tulle with a luminous finish. Brought to life by 15 skilled karigars over 150+ hours, it celebrates Indian craftsmanship on the global stage.
Preparing to represent India has demanded unwavering discipline. “We’ve had only a few months to prepare, so every single day matters. Whether it’s fitness, grooming, communication or staying updated on global affairs, you have to show up every day. It’s not really a challenge — it’s a responsibility and that’s what keeps me going,” she signs off.
