If you post on Instagram—whether regularly or occasionally—there is good news for you. The company has rolled out a fantastic feature for creators and users that allows you to easily change the music on your existing Feed posts and Carousel posts.

The company has introduced a feature called "Replace Audio," which enables users to add a new audio track to a post without having to delete or re-upload it. Notably, doing this does not affect the post's likes, comments, shares, or reach.

**Previously, Posts Had to Be Re-uploaded**
Until now, if a user wanted to change the music on a post, they had to delete the entire post and upload it again. This resulted in the loss of previously accumulated likes, comments, and engagement. However, this issue has been resolved with the new update, allowing users to refresh their old posts with new, trending songs.

**How to Use the "Replace Audio" Feature on Instagram?**
The company states that using this feature is very simple. Let’s look at the steps:

First, open the Feed or Carousel post for which you want to change the music.
Next, tap on the menu icon (represented by two lines) located at the top right of the post.
Select the "Edit" option and then tap on "Replace Audio."
After that, select the new song or audio track.
Once you save the new track, the post's audio will be updated.

All existing engagement metrics will remain intact. This new feature released by the company could prove particularly useful for content creators, influencers, and brands. You can now update old content with new, trending songs without reposting it. This allows older posts to get a fresh look and be repurposed in line with current trends.
