New Delhi: The growing military tension between America and Iran seems to be becoming more serious. America carried out air strikes on different areas of Iran for the 12th consecutive night, due to which the Sirik region of southern Iran echoed with the sounds of explosions. These continuous attacks have raised concerns across West Asia and the situation is being monitored at the international level.
Explosions again in southern Iran
According to Iranian media reports, several powerful explosions were heard in the Sirik area of southern Iran on Wednesday night. Even before this, the US Army has targeted many military bases and strategic islands of Iran. Security agencies have been alerted at the local level and surveillance has been increased in the affected areas.
Centcom confirmed the attacks
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the new attacks in a statement released on the social media platform X. According to Centcom, on the instructions of the President, the US military has continued to take action against Iranian military bases. US officials say the purpose of the operation is to limit Iran’s military activities and ensure the security of sea routes.
Military bases are being targeted
The US Army claims that in recent operations, aircraft hangars, drone storage sites, military operation centers, bases to maritime capabilities and logistics infrastructure have been targeted. America says that these attacks will weaken Iran’s military capability and improve the security of merchant ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran is also responding
On the other hand, Iran is also responding to American actions. Recently, an incident of targeting of an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz came to light. Apart from this, warning sirens were also sounded in Bahrain and Kuwait due to the fear of possible missile attacks. Due to this, security arrangements have been further tightened in the entire Gulf area.
Trump’s tough stance
US President Donald Trump has clearly indicated that there is no possibility of talks with Iran at present. He also indicated that the US military may further target areas of Iran that are close to its major uranium enrichment centers.
