The peaceful students' protest at Jantar Mantar turned violent during the Cockroach Janata Party's Chalo Sansad march as protesters clashed with the Delhi Police. Shocking visuals showed cops allegedly resorting to a lathi charge to control the crowd, leading to a stampede-like situation and major chaos. While both sides have reported injuries, reactions continue to pour in online. Actor Rajkummar Rao has joined the list of Bollywood celebrities condemning the violence and raising his voice in support of the protesting students. In a note, he urged the government to respond with empathy and engage in a dialogue with those affected. He also stressed that peace must remain the greatest strength.

Reacting to , Rajkummar wrote, "When young people feel unheard, it is a reminder that society must listen. Every voice deserves to be heard with dignity, fairness and respect. At the same time, peace must remain our greatest strength. Violence, from any side, only deepens wounds and takes us further away from meaningful solutions."

He emphasised that this was a moment for dialogue and compassion. The actor further said that students should express themselves responsibly while authorities should respond with empathy, openness, and a genuine willingness to listen. He stated that real and lasting change can only be achieved through conversation, not confrontation.

"All of us, collectively want one thing, growth for our nation and the foundation for that growth is fair education," wrote Rao.

Earlier today, Shoojit Sircar and others also reacted to the ongoing students protest in Delhi, Mumbai and other parts of the country.

Sircar shared a heartbreak emoji and wrote, "Students, 'Protest is a democratic right, and exercise your protest within the boundaries of your right. To oppose is a democratic right, and use your opposition within the limits of your right."

Meanwhile, Preity tweeted, "While it’s important to support our students and ask for educational reforms that positively impact the future of our youth, it’s also very important that peaceful protests by students are not hijacked by anti national elements to create chaos & change the nature of the protest." She also expressed concern over the negativity online.

The ongoing student protests have left Bollywood divided. While some celebrities are vocalising their support and even joining the students on the ground, others have remained tight-lipped, inviting severe criticism.
