Kuldeep Yadav's New Challenge

After being excluded from India's squad and remaining on the bench throughout the ODI series in England, Kuldeep Yadav is set to embrace a fresh challenge in his cricketing career. The talented Indian spinner has signed with Yorkshire, marking his debut in English county cricket. He will participate in both List A and first-class matches for the team during the ongoing 2025-26 season. Kuldeep is slated to play five matches in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, starting with his debut against Glamorgan on Friday, July 24. Following this, he will return to compete in the final three games of the County Championship.

Joining the Ranks of Legends Kuldeep Joins Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh

Kuldeep Yadav becomes part of an exclusive group of Indian cricketers who have represented Yorkshire. The legendary Sachin Tendulkar was the first Indian to play for any county team in England during the 1992 season. Other notable players include Yuvraj Singh in 2003 and Cheteshwar Pujara in 2015 and 2018.

Kuldeep expressed his excitement about joining Yorkshire, describing it as a privilege. Gavin Hamilton, the county's general manager of cricket, highlighted the significance of Kuldeep's signing, especially given the dry conditions in England this season. He remarked, “Kuldeep is an accomplished, international quality player who will add incredible strength to our line-up for these blocks of fixtures. Given the dry summer we've experienced, we expect spin to play an important role during the closing stages of the season. Kuldeep gives us another dimension with his left-arm wrist spin and brings a wealth of experience at the highest level. We're delighted to welcome him to Yorkshire.”
