Fifteen-year-old cricket prodigy Vaibhav Suryaanshi expressed his excitement about returning to Harare for the T20I series against Zimbabwe. He reminisced about India's victory at the ICC Under-19 World Cup held at the same venue earlier this year. Speaking in a video shared by the BCCI ahead of the first T20I of the three-match series, Suryaanshi highlighted the special memories associated with this ground following India's successful campaign in the U19 World Cup.

Suryaanshi remarked, 'We are currently in Harare, Zimbabwe, and this ground holds significant memories for me. Just four months ago, we played and won the U-19 World Cup here, making this venue very special. Representing India is a dream for everyone, and returning to play at such a remarkable ground where we made history just four months back is truly a special moment. It feels great, and we will enjoy it.'

He further mentioned that his previous experiences playing in Harare have helped him understand the conditions better, and he hopes to leverage that knowledge during the series. 'I gained a good understanding of the pitch and conditions at that time. Therefore, I will try to utilize those experiences in the match and perform well. I will stick to what I have been practicing and trust my natural game to contribute as much as possible to the team. I have played two matches on this ground before, both of which went well. I will strive to maintain that rhythm.'

Suryaanshi expressed confidence in the team's preparations, stating that the coaching staff has ensured that players are ready for the series. 'Clearly, the coaches are providing everything we need. I received the practice I required, and I feel good and confident. There have been ups and downs over the past four months, but that is part of cricket and life. Ups and downs will continue to come. I just need to follow the process and give my 100% for the team. The Zimbabwe series will commence just four days after India's tour of England, with T20I matches scheduled for July 23, 25, and 26 in Harare.'
