As mentioned earlier, previously, if a user wanted to add a new song to an old post, they had to delete the entire post and upload a new one. Doing so meant losing the comments, likes, and views associated with the post. That is why Instagram has introduced this new update, named "Replace Audio."

With this feature, users can now change the music in their old posts. However, there will be no changes to the post's photo, caption, tags, or other elements.

This new feature is expected to be highly beneficial for creators. If a song used in a post is no longer available, or if a creator wants to add a track that better suits the content, the change can now be made in just a few minutes.

If you want to add a new song to an old post, simply open the Instagram app and navigate to the feed post or carousel where you wish to change the music. Tap on the menu located above the post, select the "Edit" option, and then tap on "Replace Audio." Choose a new song from Instagram's music library, select your preferred segment of the song, and save the changes.

Please note that Instagram is rolling out this feature gradually to all users. Consequently, some users may receive the update earlier than others. That is why you should update the app immediately to get the latest updates first.
