GATE 2027 Registration: Here is important news for candidates preparing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027. IIT Madras has released the schedule for GATE 2027. The online registration process will begin on August 14, 2026. Interested candidates will be able to apply via the official portal, gate2027.iitm.ac.in.

Note the important dates for GATE 2027:
Online registration begins: August 14, 2026
Last date to apply without late fee: September 21, 2026
Last date to apply with late fee: September 30, 2026
Application correction window: October 14 to 21, 2026
Exam dates: February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027
Result declaration date: March 19, 2027

Although IIT Madras has not yet released a detailed official list of documents, based on the process from previous years and available information, candidates should keep the following documents ready in advance:
Recent passport-sized color photograph
Scanned signature
Valid photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License)
Academic documents (marksheets/degrees or proof of current studies)
Reservation category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS), if applicable
PwD certificate, if applicable
Banking/UPI details for online fee payment
