Spain marked their World Cup victory with an exuberant open-top bus parade through the streets of Madrid, where young star Lamine Yamal delighted fans by performing songs by Bad Bunny alongside his teammates. Ferran Torres also drew attention with a Donald Trump-inspired cap before the festivities turned emotional during the team’s appearance at Cibeles Square.

Spain’s World Cup-winning squad returned home to Madrid in grand fashion after their 1-0 victory over Argentina in the final. At the heart of the celebration was Barcelona sensation Yamal, who grabbed the microphone to sing and dance to Bad Bunny tracks while thousands of supporters cheered the champions’ homecoming.

The teenage forward was often seen celebrating with Athletic Club winger Nico Williams, the pair dancing together as the bus wound its way through the capital. Torres pokes fun at Trump

While Yamal’s performance caught plenty of attention, it was Ferran Torres who delivered the standout fashion moment of the celebration. The match-winning forward sported a bright red cap that closely resembled the iconic merchandise associated with Trump. Embroidered with the slogan “Make Spain Great Again,” the hat playfully referenced the former U.S. President, who had awarded the players their medals just a day earlier.

Rodri and De la Fuente thank the supporters

When the parade reached Cibeles Square, the celebrations took a more emotional turn. Captain Rodri and head coach Luis de la Fuente addressed the massive crowd, expressing gratitude and pride. Rodri celebrated the team’s unity and singled out Torres for special praise.

Rodri told the fans, “We’ve won the World Cup. And how many do we have now? Two. These teammates are incredible, and I hardly know what to say. I want to mention someone who has been unfairly criticised but today stands in the history books of Spanish football: Ferran.”

Head coach De la Fuente also thanked the Spanish supporters for their unwavering faith throughout the tournament. He said, “Thank you, Spain, for your support and for being here. We are blessed to have 26 remarkable people who are not only great footballers but the best in the world.
