AS Roma have shown interest in signing Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi (28), as reported by Foot Mercato. The French defender spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United, where he became a regular starter under manager Nuno Espirito Santo. Despite his consistent performances in East London, Disasi could not prevent the Hammers from being relegated to the EFL Championship.
Following the end of his loan spell, Disasi returned to Chelsea, where his current contract runs until June 2029. However, the Blues are open to offloading the former AS Monaco defender this summer, particularly if a club competing in the UEFA Champions League comes forward with a suitable offer.
According to the report, Serie A side AS Roma, who finished third in the league last season, have approached Chelsea regarding the potential transfer of Disasi. The Giallorossi have also initiated discussions with the player’s representatives. Chelsea, meanwhile, are pursuing another French international centre-back, Maxence Lacroix, and have reportedly placed a €20 million valuation on Disasi.
