New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has taken a big step against its spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya after a video went viral amid the Parliament march and student movement. The party has relieved him of all official responsibilities, removing him from the post of spokesperson with immediate effect.
CJP said in a statement issued on social media platform X that the organization will not compromise in any way with its principles and values of the movement. According to the party, at the time when protesters and organization workers were facing police action during the movement, a video of Vijeta Dahiya surfaced, which the party termed as insensitive conduct.
Party said unacceptable behavior
In its official statement, the CJP said that Dahiya’s behavior not only reflects grave indecisiveness but is also contrary to the purpose, ideology of the organization and the spirit of the movement. On this basis, he was removed from all responsibilities including the post of spokesperson with immediate effect.
Video of eating burger went viral
In a video viral on social media, winner Dahiya was seen eating a burger at a fast food outlet. In the video, he was asked a question about not participating in the Parliament march.
Dahiya gave this answer
In the video, winner Dahiya said that he was hungry, so he ate the burger. He also said that he is not bound to anyone and it is not his responsibility to be present at the protest site. He also said that he does not want to go into politics and does not feel the need to join protests to please anyone.
After this statement and viral video of Dahiya, criticism started on social media, after which CJP took organizational action and removed him from the post.
