On Wednesday, July 22—the third trading day of the week—gold and silver prices have surged once again. Prices have risen across both domestic (bullion) and international markets. Given this, it is crucial to know the latest rates. An increase in the prices of 22-carat and 24-carat gold was recorded in several cities, while silver also continued to trade at elevated levels.

**International Market Prices?**
A surge in the prices of both gold and silver has been recorded in the international Comex market. Data from around 9:00 AM indicates that gold rose by approximately 1.68%, reaching $4,144.10 per ounce. Silver prices also saw a jump, rising 1.90% to trade at $60.230 per ounce.

**What are the MCX Prices?**
Gold prices also showed an upward trend in India's domestic MCX market. At 9:00 AM, gold was trading up by 1.22% at around ₹1,44,700 per 10 grams; after recent fluctuations, prices now appear to be rising. Silver prices in India also received support, climbing approximately 1.21% to trade around ₹2,26,480 per kilogram—marking an increase compared to recent days.

**Where is Gold Trading?**
In the domestic futures market, gold was trading at ₹1,46,800 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), up by ₹1,740. Meanwhile, at 9:00 AM, the price of silver had risen by ₹2,800 to reach ₹2,26,400 per kilogram.

**Why Did Prices Rise?** Experts say that geopolitical tensions have eased somewhat due to the resumption of diplomatic efforts between the US and Iran. This has led to a softening in crude oil prices, providing additional support to gold.
