Congress protest continues outside PM residence, Union Minister arrives; Rahul Gandhi put forward 5 demands

New Delhi. Congress’s protest continues outside the Prime Minister’s residence. Many senior leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge are sitting on strike. Amidst the protest, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh reached the protest site and tried to end the movement by talking to Rahul Gandhi. In this conversation, Congress leaders placed five major demands before the government. The party first reiterated its demand for the resignation of the Union Education Minister. Along with this, it was said that the Union Home Minister should give a statement on this entire matter in both the houses of the Parliament and the government should clarify its stand.

Congress also demanded that there should be a detailed discussion on this issue in the Parliament, the questions to the students should be heard seriously and an impartial investigation should be conducted into the violence that took place during the protest. The party says that the movement will continue until the government takes concrete steps on these demands.

Five major demands of Congress

* Resignation of Union Education Minister.
* The Home Minister should make a statement in both the houses of the Parliament.
* The entire matter should be discussed in detail in Parliament.
* The problems and demands of the students should be listened to seriously.
* An impartial investigation should be conducted into the violence that took place during the demonstration.

After talking to Congress leaders, Union Minister Jitendra Singh left from there. It is being told that he can now meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and inform him about the demands of Congress. However, the protest continues at the protest site and the workers are continuously raising slogans against the government.

Rahul Gandhi called upon the countrymen to join the movement

From the protest site, Rahul Gandhi appealed to the people to support the movement. He said that the action taken against students is not just the students’ issue but every Indian family’s issue. Rahul said that the government cannot escape accountability and the voice of students cannot be suppressed. Rahul Gandhi also posted on social media platform X and appealed to the countrymen to join the ongoing dharna outside the Prime Minister’s residence. He said that public participation is necessary to provide justice to the students. Congress alleges that the government is avoiding responding to this entire matter, while the party will continue to raise the issue of students from Parliament to the streets.
