Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Manchester United have no plans to part ways with the winger. According to Romano, the club informed Diallo’s representatives back in June that they intend to keep faith in the player and see him as part of their long-term project.
This stance from United makes a transfer to St James’ Park highly improbable, as the club continues to view the Ivory Coast international as an important asset within Erik ten Hag’s squad.
The 24-year-old remains a popular figure at Sunderland following his impressive loan spell during the 2022-23 season under Tony Mowbray, where he found the net 14 times across all competitions.
