When is Devshayani Ekadashi 2026?

According to the Panchang, Devshayani Ekadashi Tithi will start on 24th July 2026 at 9:13 am and will end on 25th July 2026 at 11:35 am. Since fasts and festivals are celebrated on the basis of Udaya Tithi, the fast and puja of Devshayani Ekadashi will be performed on 25 July 2026.

Auspicious time to worship Shri Hari Vishnu

It is considered very auspicious to worship Lord Vishnu after taking bath in the morning on Devshayani Ekadashi.

Morning puja time: 4:17 am to 6:10 am
Abhijeet Muhurta: 12:00 noon to 12:55 pm
Evening puja time: 7:17 pm to 8:19 pm

The fast of Devshayani Ekadashi is broken the next day. This year, the auspicious time of Paran will be from 5:40 am to 8:20 am on 26th July 2026. Breaking the fast during this period is considered auspicious.

How to worship Lord Vishnu?

On the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, wake up early in the morning and take bath and wear clean yellow clothes. After this, install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi on a post decorated with yellow cloth. Anoint Shri Hari with Panchamrit and Ganga water and offer sandalwood, Akshat, yellow flowers and Tulsi leaves. Offer satvik bhog to God and "Invocation and Obeisance to Lord Krishna" Chant the mantra. At the end, listen to the Ekadashi fast story and perform aarti.

What to do on Devshayani Ekadashi?

On this day, fasting, worship, bhajan-kirtan and charity have special significance. If it is not possible to observe a fast, then donating food is also considered extremely virtuous. Donating rice, pulses, flour, ghee, jaggery, salt, fruits and vegetables gives auspicious results.
