The most economical way to travel to Coorg is to first reach Bengaluru or Mysore via train or bus.

Government buses are easily available from Mysore to Coorg, whose fare ranges between Rs 150 to Rs 250. This journey takes about 3 to 4 hours.

Direct buses are also available from Bengaluru, whose fare ranges from Rs 300 to Rs 500.
