This includes specific features for the ₹50 note that help distinguish between genuine and counterfeit currency. These features are designed to be difficult to replicate. Pay attention to these points to identify a genuine note.

How to Identify a Genuine ₹50 Note

According to the RBI website, identifying a genuine ₹50 note is quite simple. Here are the details:

A 'see-through' security feature displaying the number '50' is located on the bottom-left side of the note; it becomes clearly visible when held against the light.
The numeral '50' is also printed in Devanagari (Hindi) script on the note.
A portrait of Mahatma Gandhi is printed in the center of the note's obverse (front) side.
The RBI guarantee, the Governor's signature, the promise to pay, and the RBI logo are located on the right side of the note.
The serial number is printed on the top-left side, with the digits increasing in size from left to right. The serial number is also printed on the bottom right of the note in ascending order of size (from small to large).
The emblem of the Ashoka Pillar (the National Emblem) is featured on the bottom right of the note.
