You can fulfill your dream of becoming a teacher by pursuing a B.Ed. degree from a university in Bihar. There is double good news for aspiring candidates who wish to pursue B.Ed. studies: the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), located in Gaya district, is launching two new B.Ed. courses starting this session. The admission process for these courses has already begun. Applications are being invited from eligible candidates for the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP)—specifically the B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. courses—for the 2026-27 academic session. Students can apply until July 22.

**Launching for the First Time**
CUSB is introducing the 4-year ITEP (B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed.) courses for the first time starting this academic session. Previously, the university conducted 4-year B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. courses under a different curriculum structure, with admissions facilitated through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). It is worth noting that the university has initiated these ITEP B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. programs in alignment with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

**Subject-wise Seat Details**
Controller of Examinations Dr. Shanti Gopal Pain stated that 50 seats are available in each of the 4-year ITEP programs: B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. The seat allocation for the B.Sc. B.Ed. course is as follows: Mathematics (10), Physics (10), Chemistry (10), Botany (10), and Zoology (10). Similarly, the subject-wise seat details for the B.A. B.Ed. course are: Hindi (9), English (9), Economics (8), Political Science (8), History (8), and Geography (8).

**Apply via the CUSB Samarth Portal**
Kumar Kaushal, Deputy Registrar (Academic and Examination), informed that candidates interested in admission to these CUSB-run courses for the 2026-27 academic session must register online using the link available on the CUSB Samarth portal: https://cusbcuet.samarth.edu.in/ncet. For each course, candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹500, while candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and differently-abled categories must pay ₹200. The deadline for online registration has been set for July 22, 2026.
