The whole incident started from northern Iraq. According to CENTCOM, on July 18, American soldiers were defusing the debris of an Iranian drone (Controlled Detonation). It was an Iranian suicide drone which was shot down first. While removing this debris, a big blast occurred, in which one American soldier lost his life and another was slightly injured. With this incident, the number of American soldiers who lost their lives in this war that has been going on for the last 5 months has increased to 17. Shocked by the death of its soldier, America immediately made a plan for major action against Iran.

Explosions all around in Iran, air defense system active

As soon as America started its operation, sounds of loud explosions started coming from many corners of Iran. According to Iran's news agency 'Mehr', several explosions were heard near the strategically important Chabahar port for India. Iran's air defense system had to be activated in the nearby Konarak city. Iran's government channel 'Press TV' has claimed that American planes have also targeted Iran's north-western city of Tabriz.
