The fourth and last regional thinking camp on the theme “Developed Youth will create developed India (Viksit Yuva for Viksit Bharat)” organized by the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports was concluded on Saturday at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow. This concluded the series of regional discussions organized across the country, in which strategies to increase youth participation and realize the goal of Developed India @2047 were widely discussed.

He called upon officials to increase coordination with state governments, educational institutions and local stakeholders, saying that the challenges of each state are different and their solutions should also be tailored to local needs.

Chief Executive Officer of MY Bharat Dr. Priyanka Shukla Appreciating the active participation of the officers, he said that MY Bharat has become an effective platform to provide youth with meaningful opportunities for volunteerism, leadership and community engagement. He also stressed on documentation of successful practices of various states and their dissemination on a large scale.

Technical sessions on Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) and Fit India were organized on the second day of the brainstorming camp. Apart from this, various working groups presented their action plans and recommendations on subjects like Drug Free India Campaign, Fit India, Gender Sensitization, Youth Leadership and Volunteerism, Experiential Learning Programme, Community Public Participation and institutional strengthening of MY Bharat and MY Bharat NSS.

In the two-day brainstorming session, it was agreed that MY Bharat would be further strengthened as a powerful platform for youth-led nation building. For this, special emphasis was laid on wide reach at the grassroots level, institutional coordination, technology-based program implementation, local participation and capacity building of officers. State-specific strategies, exchange of best practices and continuous communication between the Ministry and regional authorities were also called for.
