New Delhi. The monsoon session of Parliament is starting from Monday, July 20. This session of Parliament is to continue till August 13. Before the Parliament session, the Modi government had called an all-party meeting on Sunday, but the opposition decided not to participate in the all-party meeting. It is being told that as soon as the all-party meeting started, the opposition leaders got up and left. He was angry over calling rebel TMC MPs to the meeting.
The opposition has already decided on which issues it will corner the government. The biggest issue among these is NEET UG paper leak and demand for resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi are blaming the Education Minister for the NEET UG paper leak. Whereas, the government has handed over the investigation of this case to CBI. The accused have been arrested and two senior officers of NEET were also transferred by the government. The second issue of the opposition has now become the demonstration at Jantar Mantar. Apart from this, the opposition is raising the issue of theft of Ram Mandir donations and there are preparations to corner the government on this issue in the Parliament. Apart from this, like every time, the opposition will raise issues like inflation and unemployment in the Parliament this time too.
At the same time, the government plans to pass many bills in the monsoon session of Parliament. The government is preparing to pass the provision of punishment for insulting Vande Mataram and the FCRA amendment bill. Apart from this, Modi government can also present delimitation bill. To pass this bill, the government needs two-thirds majority in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. In the Parliament session held in April, the government could not pass the delimitation bill due to the stubborn attitude of the opposition. Now with the addition of 6 more MPs from TMC rebels and Shiv Sena, if the government gets the support of 8 MPs from DMK and Sharad Pawar’s party, then 6 more MPs will be needed for two-third majority in the Lok Sabha.
