Lucknow/Hajipur: The political temperature has already started heating up regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Even though there is time for elections, NDA allies of Bihar have announced their entry into the politics of Uttar Pradesh. This can prove to be a big challenge for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath because former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party (JDU) and Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) have prepared to enter the electoral battle of UP.

JDU laid the net of victory in Lucknow

Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) has decided to enter Uttar Pradesh with full force. Recently, in the State Executive meeting held at Sahakaritha Bhawan, Lucknow, Bihar Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar gave the mantra of victory to the workers. He said that Nitish Kumar’s model of ‘good governance’ and ‘development’ will now be taken to every home of UP. The party has prepared a phased strategy for the elections, in which National Working President Sanjay Jha will also play an important role. This step of JDU is being seen towards changing the equations within NDA in UP politics.

Chirag Paswan’s aggressive stance: keeping an eye on all 403 seats

On the other hand, Union Minister Chirag Paswan has adopted a very aggressive stance in UP. During a program in Hajipur, Chirag announced that his party will field its candidates on all 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Chirag said that the basic mantra of his politics is to take everyone along, which includes every section from Pandit to Paswan. Although, he has not yet opened his cards regarding alliance, but the talk of contesting elections on all the seats alone has increased the concerns of BJP.

Chirag’s LJP in the race for party expansion

Chirag Paswan is busy expanding the scope of his party beyond the borders of Bihar. His eyes are not only on UP, but the party’s possibilities are also being explored in Punjab and Uttarakhand. It is noteworthy that Chirag’s party has already hoisted its flag in Jharkhand and Nagaland, where its MLAs are present. Last year, his party had performed brilliantly in alliance with BJP in Bihar, winning 19 seats, which further boosts his confidence.

Will it become a headache for Yogi Adityanath?

Political experts believe that BJP’s problems may increase due to these two big parties of Bihar becoming active in UP. Even though these parties are part of NDA, their ‘vote bank’ may get disintegrated if they contest elections separately in UP or have differences regarding seat sharing. If a triangular contest is formed in the elections, then BJP’s traditional vote bank may be dented, which has the potential to completely influence the outcome of the upcoming elections. Now it remains to be seen how BJP handles this situation and what new game plays out on the political chessboard of UP.
