What is the new Flex Titanium technology?
Flex Titanium is Samsung’s new foldable display structure, replacing the conventional support material with two components made of titanium. It consists of a titanium alloy film on the underside of the OLED display. Then there is a titanium support plate underneath that too. That is, the entire display module is built on this support plate. All these layers together will help increase the durability of the display without increasing its weight. Samsung claims that the titanium alloy film used is 20 times stronger than traditional polymer film. In addition, the new technology eliminates air voids in the display components, which reduces clocks on the display and makes the phone easier to fold.
