The trophy of the ODI series is at stake but just before that, Team India has been forced to make a change. The third and last match of the series will be played between India and England on Sunday 19 July at Lord's Cricket Ground. Just a day before this match, BCCI has announced changes in Team India. Spin-allrounder Harsh Dubey has been included in the team in place of all-rounder Washington Sundar, who was ruled out of this series due to injury in the second ODI.

Sundar out, Dubey got another chance

During batting in the second ODI match played between India and England on 16 July in Cardiff. Sundar's leg pain Was up. Due to this, he could not last long and was out in just 5 balls. After this he did not even come out for fielding and after the match the news came that he was out of the series. Now BCCI has also confirmed this and said that Sundar has an injury in his right hamstring, due to which he will not be able to play at Lord's.

In such a situation, the selection committee has included left-arm spin all-rounder Harsh Dubey in the squad for the last ODI match. Harsh Dubey made his international debut in the ODI series against Afghanistan only last month. Dubey played 2 matches in this series and took 4 wickets in it. Before that, he was also a part of the squad for the Test match against Afghanistan but he did not get a chance to play then. Besides, he has also been selected in the T20 team for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour.

Will Harsh Dubey be able to play at Lord's?

But will Harsh Dubey be able to get a place in the team's playing-11 for Lord's ODI? This is a question which is not so easy to answer. The reason is Team India's batting in the last two matches. India's batting was not good throughout this tour and it was very bad in Cardiff, where the middle and lower middle order disintegrated. In such a situation, Team India can consider playing an additional batsman. In such a situation, Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul can play together.

If Team India wants to field a bowler as Sundar's replacement, then in that situation spinner Kuldeep Yadav is more likely to get priority, who was sitting on the bench in the last two matches. In such a situation, Harsh Dubey will get a chance to play at Lord's, this does not seem possible at the moment.

India's probable playing-11

Shubman Gill (captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Shivam Dubey, Axar Patel, Gurnoor Brar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna.
