The runway will be expanded for movement of larger aircraft.
For easy access to the airport, a 20 meter wide new approach road will be constructed.

According to the administration, along with government land, some private tenant land will also be acquired to complete the project. For this, the land is being measured and necessary formalities are being completed under the legal process. It is the endeavor of the Land Acquisition Department that all the processes be completed on time, so that the construction work can be started without any delay.

Valmikinagar is becoming one of the major natural tourist destinations of the country. Apart from Bihar, a large number of tourists from Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Nepal also visit the Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) located here.
