Calling it the saddest day in cricket history, Gavaskar said that Sobers was the greatest cricketer to ever walk on earth. Sachin Tendulkar refreshed the memories of the 2003 World Cup when Sir Gary handed him the 'Player of the Tournament' trophy. Sachin wrote on X, 'It is very difficult to accept the news of the demise of Sir Garfield Sobers. Many moments spent with him over the years are being remembered again and again today.
