NTA Group A & B Recruitment 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited applications for recruitment to various Group A and Group B posts. This recruitment will be conducted on a deputation or foreign service terms basis. Interested and eligible officers can apply until 5:00 PM on August 7, 2026. Selected candidates will receive a salary and other allowances in accordance with the 7th Pay Commission. Notably, the maximum salary for these posts goes up to ₹2.09 lakh per month.

Which posts are being filled?
A total of 9 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. The details of the vacancies are as follows:

3 posts for Joint Director
1 post for Research Scientist 'C'
2 posts for Deputy Director
2 posts for Assistant Director
1 post for Senior Superintendent / Senior Superintendent (Accounts)

The recruitment will be on a deputation basis, with an initial appointment period of three years. However, the number of posts may be increased or decreased based on requirements.

What is the salary for each post?
For the posts of Joint Director and Research Scientist 'C', Pay Level-12 has been fixed, offering a salary range of ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200.
For the post of Deputy Director, a salary range of ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700 will be provided under Pay Level-11.
Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Director will receive a salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500, in accordance with Pay Level-10.
For the post of Senior Superintendent or Senior Superintendent (Accounts), the salary has been fixed between ₹44,900 and ₹1,42,400 under Pay Level-7.

Who can apply?
This recruitment is not open to general candidates or freshers. Only eligible officers currently serving in All India Services, the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territory administrations, autonomous institutions, statutory bodies, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) may apply.

The maximum age of candidates applying must not exceed 56 years as of the last date for application submission.

**Educational Qualifications by Post**
For the posts of Joint Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director, a bachelor's degree from a recognized university is required. However, preference will be given to candidates with experience in relevant administrative or examination management work.

For the post of Research Scientist 'C', a Master's degree (with at least 55% marks) and a PhD in the relevant subject are required. Additionally, experience in fields related to assessment, psychometrics, or examination systems is essential.

For the post of Senior Superintendent (Accounts), a bachelor's degree along with knowledge of office work and computer applications is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in accounting, auditing, or administrative work.

**Selection Process**
NTA has not provided for a written examination for this recruitment. Eligible candidates will be called for an interview following the scrutiny and screening of received applications.

Final selection will be based on the interview and document verification. NTA reserves the right to set additional criteria for screening if necessary.

Additionally, a copy of the application must be sent via email. The application must be accompanied by academic certificates, experience certificates, vigilance and administrative clearance certificates, an NOC, APAR reports for the last five years, and an integrity certificate. 

August 7 is the last date for applications.
Interested and eligible candidates are advised to complete the application process in a timely manner. Incomplete applications, those received after the deadline, or those not submitted through the proper channel will not be accepted. The NTA has clarified that its decision regarding eligibility and selection will be final.
