BFUHS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: There is good news for MBBS doctors seeking government jobs. Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has invited applications for the recruitment of 630 Medical Officers (General) under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Punjab. The online application process has commenced, and the deadline for submission is August 5, 2026.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 630 vacancies, comprising 540 new posts and 90 backlog posts. Posts have been earmarked for various reserved categories, and provisions for reservation for women have also been included.

**Who can apply?**
Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized institution. Additionally, candidates must be registered with the Punjab Medical Council or any other recognized medical council in India.

Candidates are also required to have knowledge of the Punjabi language up to the matriculation level. However, those who do not meet this requirement at the time of application must fulfill this condition within six months of their appointment.

Candidates currently employed in government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of application. Candidates applying under the sports quota must possess a Sports Gradation Certificate issued by the Government of Punjab.

**What is the age limit?**
As of January 1, 2026, the minimum age for candidates is 18 years, and the maximum age is 37 years. Reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with the rules.

**What is the salary?**

Candidates will be selected based on a 100-mark written examination. To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 33 percent marks. Final selection will be based on merit and reservation rules.
