Inspire Awards MANAK Scheme: A wonderful opportunity has emerged for the school children of Sitamarhi district of Bihar to move forward and prove their talent. The government has come up with a special scheme to bring out the hidden scientists within children and to give wings to their new ideas. The name of this scheme is Inspire Award Standard Scheme. Under this scheme, students from class 6th to 12th can participate. This can include children from government schools as well as private and aided schools.
What is the main objective of the scheme
The main objective of this scheme is that children should look at the problems around them and find new solutions to them with the help of science. Whatever children present their unique and creative ideas to the government, the best ideas will be selected. Each selected student will be given a cash incentive of Rs 10,000 by the government for preparing his science model. Regarding this entire arrangement, State Project Director of Bihar Education Project Council, Prashant Kumar CH has issued necessary orders to all the District Education Officers and District Program Officers of the state so that no promising child is left out of this opportunity.
Online application facility till 15th September
A time limit has also been fixed to avail the benefits of this scheme. All recognized schools have been instructed to select the best five ideas from among the children of their schools. These five selected models will have to be uploaded online on the e-MIAS portal between July 15 and September 15. The Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India will first select those ideas which solve the problems of our daily life and can be useful to the society. When the department likes these ideas, the money for making models will be sent to the bank accounts of the selected children. This money will be deposited directly into the children’s accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer i.e. DBT so that there is no disturbance of any kind in between.
It is necessary to register by 20th July
To run the scheme properly, it is very important for all the schools to be registered on the portal. The State Project Director has clearly said that those schools which have not yet been registered on this official portal, should complete their registration by July 20 under all circumstances. After this, a competition will be organized at the school level in all the schools till 30th July. Through this competition, the best five ideas of the school will be selected. The school principal and the nodal science teacher will together take the responsibility of uploading these selected ideas on the online portal within the stipulated time.
Responsibility assigned to senior officers
A team of officers has been deployed to implement this entire scheme properly and help the children. All block education officers have been instructed to constantly keep an eye on the schools. Along with science teachers, they will get the new ideas of the children uploaded on the portal in time. Along with this, the District Program Officer and the District Nodal Officer of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan will examine all these applications. After scrutiny, the applications found correct will be sent to the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India through the state level. This scheme will become a great means of creating interest in science among children and creating identity at the country level.
