Toyota Hilux 2026: Toyota has released the first official look at the new generation Hilux of its popular pickup truck. Let us tell you that the company has released its teaser before the global launch, which makes it clear that the new Hilux is going to come with a more powerful look, modern features and advanced technology than before. The global unveiling of this pickup will be done on July 28. Along with this, the teaser video shows the new Hilux passing through muddy roads and deep water, which indicates that its off-road capability will remain intact as before. But this time major changes will be seen in the design and cabin.

The design will be bolder and more muscular than before

It can be seen from the teaser and pictures surfaced on social media that the exterior of the new Toyota Hilux will look more aggressive than before. In which there is a large honeycomb pattern grille at the front, along with slim LED headlights and black trim in the middle which gives it a premium look. Apart from this, the new front bumper, wide wheel arches and new C-shaped LED tail lamps at the rear make it more modern and eye-catching than before. Overall, the company has given a new style to the design of Hilux while maintaining its strong identity.

Premium experience like SUV will be available in the cabin

For information, let us tell you that the biggest change of the new Hilux will be seen in its interior. It will have a new dashboard, 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and a new three-spoke steering wheel. Talking about the features, it is expected to get modern safety features like ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, 360-degree camera and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). With this, this pickup can also compete with many premium SUVs in terms of technology.

Mild-hybrid diesel engine may enter

It is being told that mechanical changes are likely to be limited. At the same time, reports have revealed that the new Hilux will get the existing 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine but this time it can be offered with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This is the same technology which was recently seen in Toyota Fortuner also. It is expected to provide better mileage, smooth start-stop system and better driving experience at low speeds while there will be no compromise in the power of the diesel engine.

The new Hilux is targeted at customers who want a lifestyle pickup that is comfortable on city roads as well as performing well on tough off-road terrains. Now all eyes are on its official launch to be held on July 28.
