A heartbreaking accident occurred on Friday morning in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. Near the Karn Subarn railway station, three individuals lost their lives after their vehicle was struck by a train at a level crossing. According to an official from Eastern Railway, among the deceased were two school students who were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The official reported that the collision took place around 7 AM. The car, which was transporting school children, was crossing the railway tracks near the Karn Subarn station, located approximately 48 kilometers from Katwa. At that moment, a local train collided violently with the vehicle. Initial reports indicate that the level crossing was open during the accident.
In response to the tragedy, the railway authorities have dispatched a ten-member team to the site to conduct a thorough investigation into the causes of the incident. Following the accident, train services in the Azimganj-Katwa section of the Howrah division of Eastern Railway have been disrupted. Officials are examining every aspect of the event to determine the precise cause of the accident.
