PTC News Desk: The NEET UG 2026 results show that students from Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana and Telangana were among the country's top performers. The National Testing Agency (NTA) also announced a state topper for every State and Union Territory.
Punjab's Aryan Gupta secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 with a percentile of 99.9999. Haryana's Panshul Bansal finished second with the same percentile, while Rajasthan's Uplakshya Goyal secured AIR 3. Bihar's Ayush Bhalotia and Riya Ranjan ranked fourth and sixth, respectively. Maharashtra's Shravani Kudale secured AIR 5, and Uttar Pradesh's Aryan Dubey finished seventh.
Rajasthan and Maharashtra dominate top 100
Among the top 100 rank holders, Rajasthan had the highest number of students with around 12 candidates, followed by Maharashtra with 11.
Punjab and Delhi each had eight students in the top 100, while Tamil Nadu had seven. Gujarat and Karnataka contributed six candidates each. Haryana and Telangana also had several students among the top 100, showing strong performances across different states.
Girls shine in NEET UG 2026
Several female candidates secured top ranks in the exam. Maharashtra's Shravani Kudale and Bihar's Riya Ranjan secured AIR 5 and AIR 6, respectively.
Other girls in the top 50 include Mansha Garg (Haryana), Vaishnavi Das (Karnataka), Kashvi Dhall (Delhi), Namala Prerana (Andhra Pradesh) and Ashi Goyal (Punjab).
