Bihar RJD Split: The biggest news of this time is coming out from the political corridors of Bihar. Just before the Bankipur Assembly by-election to be held in the state, Rashtriya Janata Dal i.e. RJD has suffered a big blow. The party’s oldest, trusted and chief spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari has suddenly resigned from RJD.
The demise of Mrityunjay Tiwari, who strongly supported the party on every front in front of the media, is being considered as an irreparable loss for RJD. According to the information, he met RJD state president Mangni Lal Mandal and submitted his resignation from all his organizational posts including the post of party spokesperson.
Political speculations intensify regarding Abhay Kushwaha
Amidst this big development, political speculations have also intensified regarding the current RJD MP from Aurangabad, Abhay Kushwaha. It is discussed that he too has been angry with the top leadership of the party for a long time and is in constant touch with the BJP. This double movement has increased the temperature of Bihar politics very much.
Mrityunjay was hurt by not getting respect
Mrityunjay Tiwari himself has confirmed this big decision of his while talking to media channels. He clarified that he had gone to the party office and tendered his resignation in the presence of state president Mangni Lal Mandal and other senior leaders. Expressing his displeasure, he said that he was feeling neglected within the organization for a long time. He alleged that he was not getting the proper respect and importance in the party that he deserved.
Due to this lack of self-respect, he ultimately had to take the tough decision of leaving the party. He further became emotional and said that he is a true public servant and will always remain dedicated to serving the public till his last breath. However, when he was asked about his next political move or joining any other party, he did not reveal his cards yet and clearly refused to make any disclosure on this.
Big political loss for RJD
Actually, Mrityunjay Tiwari’s separation from RJD does not seem to be a sudden decision. For the past several months, he had been dissatisfied with his role within the party and the importance given to new faces in the organization. He was the prominent face of the party who gave a befitting reply to the attacks of his opponents in every TV debate and press conference. In such a situation, his departure may prove costly for the organization which is on the verge of elections.
Opposition parties are also targeting RJD on the issue that how will a party which is not able to respect its old leaders, do good to the people. Mrityunjay Tiwari’s departure has created a huge void in both RJD’s media team and grassroots organization, filling which will prove to be a big challenge for the party in the times to come.
Suspense deepens on MP Abhay Kushwaha too
Meanwhile, the ongoing speculation regarding Aurangabad MP Abhay Kushwaha has given sleepless nights to the RJD leadership. According to information received from sources, Abhay Kushwaha is also very unhappy with the ticket distribution and some internal decisions of the party. There is a lot of speculation in political circles that he too may take a big and shocking decision very soon. News of his secret meetings with some big leaders of BJP is also coming to the fore.
However, till now no official statement or confirmation in this regard has come from Abhay Kushwaha or any big leader of BJP. If Abhay Kushwaha also takes any step, it will be the second biggest blow for RJD in this election season, which will not be easy for the party to deal with.
Crisis increases amid Tejashwi’s foreign tour
Amidst the preparations for the Bankipur Assembly by-election, the news of such serious resentment coming from within the RJD has become a matter of deep concern for the future of the party. On one hand, an old soldier like Mrityunjay Tiwari has left the party, on the other hand, the speculations about the Lok Sabha MP have created a new turmoil in the entire politics of Bihar.
The biggest matter of concern is that this entire crisis has come at a time when RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has gone on a foreign tour as per his schedule. In his absence, calming the strife within the party and controlling the damage is going to prove to be a big test for the state leadership. Now it will be very interesting to see how RJD recovers from this big crisis in the coming days and what effect it has on the election results of Bankipur.
