Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inspiring message "MP is amazing, most amazing" is not just a slogan but an accurate introduction to the natural beauty, rich culture, historical heritage and tourism potential of Madhya Pradesh. This thinking is becoming the basis for taking the state to new heights in the field of tourism.
The Chief Minister was addressing the country's prestigious tourism and hospitality conference FAITH Conclave-2026 held in New Delhi. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "what he says, he does" working style has given India a strong identity on the global tourism map. The mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas" has become the basis of the development policies of the Central and State Governments.
FAITH Conclave 2026: Investors and tour operators invited to visit Madhya Pradesh
In the special session organized on the topic "Madhya Pradesh: The Heart of Incredible India" at FAITH Conclave, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is continuously working to make Madhya Pradesh the leading tourism and investment center of the country. He gave an open invitation to national and international investors, tour operators, hotel industry and all stakeholders related to tourism sector to invest and increase partnership in Madhya Pradesh.
MP Tourism: More than 13 crore tourists reached Madhya Pradesh in one year
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is truly the “heart state of Incredible India”. Apart from being the holy land of Baba Mahakal, it is also a priceless heritage of culture, history, forts, religious places and dense forests. He said that the state government is working to give a new identity to religious tourism by developing all the major religious places associated with Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna. According to the Chief Minister, more than 13 crore tourists have reached Madhya Pradesh in the last one year, which has given new strength to the economy of the state and employment opportunities in the tourism sector have also increased.
Simhastha 2028: The world will see the grand Simhastha with preparations worth Rs 30 thousand crores.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that to make Simhastha-2028 a world class and divine event, the state government is creating extensive infrastructure at a cost of about Rs 30 thousand crores. He said that keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees, planned development works are going on at a fast pace. About 30 kilometers long ghats are being constructed so that all the devotees coming to Simhastha can take bath in the holy water of Mother Shipra.
Mahakal Lok: After the formation of Mahakal Lok, the influx of devotees increased in Ujjain.
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is blessed with two Jyotirlingas out of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. He said that Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple located in Ujjain is the only south facing Jyotirlinga in the world, whose divinity and famous Bhasma Aarti attracts devotees from India and abroad. The Chief Minister said that after the construction of Shri Mahakal Lok, about 8 crore devotees have reached Ujjain in the last one year, which has given a new impetus to religious tourism.
MP Eco Tourism: Culture, forest and coffee valley are getting new identity
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the real heart of the country because of its cultural heritage, religious faith, natural beauty and rich wildlife wealth. He said that the government is working to take tourism to new heights through modern infrastructure, better road and air connectivity and investment friendly policies in the tourism sector.
Along with promoting cultural, spiritual, heritage and sustainable tourism in the state, private investment is also being encouraged. Under eco-tourism, 'Kukru', famously known as Coffee Valley of Betul district, is being developed as a major tourist destination.
Tourism Investment MP: Strategy based on investment and global partnership
During the conclave, Dr. Ilaiyaraaja T., Secretary of the Tourism Department and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and Dilip Kumar Yadav, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation held several important meetings with national and international tour operators and industry representatives. In these meetings, strategies for private investment in the state, expansion of air connectivity, strengthening tourism infrastructure and giving a new identity to the tourist destinations of Madhya Pradesh at the global level were discussed in detail.
MP Tourism Model: Wildlife, heritage and rural tourism appreciated across the country
Many states including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Uttarakhand presented their tourism models at the FAITH Conclave. Wildlife tourism, heritage homestay, spiritual circuit and rural tourism model of Madhya Pradesh were the center of special attraction on this multi-state platform. Tourism industry experts and investors appreciated these initiatives.
The two-day FAITH Conclave-2026 played an important role in enhancing cooperation among states, tourism investment and strengthening the tourism ecosystem of India. On this platform, Madhya Pradesh effectively presented its cultural heritage, natural wealth and investment possibilities to the world.
