If you’re planning to buy a hybrid SUV, a may be worth waiting a little longer as two all-new hybrid SUVs are set to arrive by the 2026 Diwali season. Kia India will introduce its first hybrid model by October – the Sorento premium three-row SUV, while the Renault Duster hybrid will hit showrooms in November 2026. Here’s a quick look at the key details of these upcoming hybrid SUVs.

Kia Sorento Hybrid SUV Expected Price: Rs 40 lakh – Rs 50 lakh

Select Kia dealerships have already started accepting bookings for the Sorento 7-seater hybrid SUV. As per the leaked information, the SUV lineup will be available with two powertrain options – a diesel and a strong hybrid. While the official specifications and performance figures are yet be revealed, the  is expected to feature an electrified version of the 1.5L petrol engine. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.

The Kia Sorento will be available in both 6 and 7-seats configuration options. As a premium offering, the SUV will offer several advanced features such as dual 12.3-inch displays, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, powered driver seats, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS and many more.

Renault Duster Hybrid Expected Price: Rs 18 lakh – Rs 20/21 lakh

Renault India has confirmed that the   will feature a 1.8L, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine mated with two electric motors – a 49bhp drive motor and a 20bhp generator motor. The system will also be supported by a 1.4kWh battery pack. Its combined output stand at 109bhp and 172Nm, making it the most powerful vehicle in its category. The SUV will come with a multi-mode automatic transmission and FWD (front-wheel drive) system.

The Renault Duster hybrid will feature ‘Hybrid’ badges, while its overall design will remain identical to the ICE counterpart. Its interior and feature list are also likely be similar to those of the standard Duster.
