He achieved the feat during the 2nd ODI against England at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. Kohli broke the record held by the legendary Rahul Dravid.
The batting maestro was only 4 runs away from surpassing Dravid and managed to achieve the feat with a boundary against England pacer Jofra Archer in the 2nd ODI on the 4th ball of the 9th over of India’s innings on Thursday. Kohli went past Dravid, who scored 2645 runs in 46 matches for India across formats in England.
Kohli now has more than 2646 runs in England across all three formats of the game. The Team India superstar has so far slammed 3 tons and 18 fifties in England and is edging closer to his 19th half-century on English soil in the ongoing 2nd ODI at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
