During a joint search operation conducted in Garha area of ​​Sabzian sector of Mandi tehsil, security forces detected and destroyed a terrorist hideout. Search operation started after cordoning off the area

According to officials, this operation was conducted by a joint team of Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police on the basis of intelligence information. Security forces had received information that terrorists had made a secret base in the dense forests of Garha area. After this, the area was cordoned off and an intensive search operation was started.

During the search operation that lasted for several hours, the security forces found a suspicious place. Upon investigation, it was found that it was an underground terrorist base, which was built with utmost care. It was hidden with the help of stones and natural cover, so that no one could get a clue of it.

246 rounds of PIKA rifle recovered

During the search, security forces recovered 246 rounds of PIKA rifle from this hideout. Officials say that the discovery of such a large number of ammunition indicates that the terrorists were preparing for some major incident. This hideout was being used to hide weapons and other items.

The security forces have taken possession of all the recovered arms and ammunition. After this the terrorist hideout was completely destroyed, so that it could not be used again in future.
