Along with this smartphone, the company has also launched Note 17 Pro. Launched in the budget segment, this new smartphone has a starting price of less than 20 thousand rupees. Redmi Note 17 price and availability

The company has launched its new Redmi Note 17 smartphone in 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants. The 6GB + 128GB variant of the smartphone is priced at CNY 1,299 i.e. around Rs 18,000, the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 1,399 i.e. around Rs 20,000 and the top-of-the-line 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 1,599 i.e. around Rs 23,000. Display

The new smartphone launched by the company supports dual SIM. The smartphone runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The handset features a 7-inch Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,396 pixels) OLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1,800 nits peak brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 16.78 million colors and Wet Touch 2.0 technology for better responsiveness with wet hands. Xiaomi’s sub-brand claims that the device has an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water.

The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, which is built on a 4nm process and delivers a peak clock speed of 2.3GHz. The smartphone will also get Adreno GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 in-built storage. The smartphone supports an in-display optical fingerprint scanner and face unlock for security.

Camera

Talking about the camera, the Redmi smartphone offers a single 50-megapixel camera at the rear with f/1.8 aperture, which is housed in a square camera module with LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, which is embedded in the hole-punch cutout of the display. The handset can record videos up to 1080p/30 fps.

The new smartphone packs an 8,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging support. For connectivity, the smartphone offers 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS and Galileo support. The list of onboard sensors includes an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, e-compass and an IR blaster.
