Indian fast bowler Kranti Gaur bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets for 37 runs and became the first woman cricketer to be named on the prestigious Honors Board of Lord’s.
India had scored 285 runs in the first innings. In response, England’s first innings was reduced to 170 runs. After this, India scored 154 runs for 1 wicket by the end of the day’s play in the second innings and took the total lead to 269 runs.
Kranti Gaur turned the match with the ball
22-year-old fast bowler Kranti Gaur gave a historic performance in only the second match of his Test career. He played an important role in giving India a big lead by dismissing five batsmen in England’s first innings.
With this performance, she became the first female cricketer to take five wickets on the Lord’s Honors Board.
England team was under pressure from the beginning
On the second day, Indian bowlers maintained pressure on England from the beginning. The pair of Kranti Gaur and Sayali Satghare sent the top order to the pavilion early.
