Kochi |The Kerala High Court on Wednesday removed former Chief Minister, the late Oommen Chandy's then personal staff Tenny Joppen from the list of accused in the solar scam case.
Justice C S Dias allowed Joppen's plea seeking quashing of the chargesheet against him in the case, his lawyer Soniya M said.
The lawyer said that Joppen was removed from the list of accused after the complainant, Sreedharan Nair, told the court that the dispute between them had been amicably settled.
The detailed order is awaited.
The solar scam case pertains to the alleged defrauding of several people of crores of rupees by accused Saritha S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan by offering them solar energy solutions at discounted prices and then failing to make good on that promise after collecting money from them.
Joppen was accused of aiding Saritha and Radhakrishnan in defrauding Sreedharan Nair to the tune of Rs 40 lakh.
