Does your morning also start with the same worry that your stomach has not been cleaned properly? The problem of constipation not only causes stomach upset, but it also fills you with heaviness, restlessness and irritability throughout the day. Many times, long time spent in the washroom makes you late for office or important work. If you too have been struggling with constipation for a long time, then you no longer need to worry. Yoga experts believe that just 5 to 10 minutes in the morning can eliminate this problem from its roots.
Why constipation becomes the enemy of your health?
There are many hidden reasons behind stomach not being clean, which is very important to understand. Often our bad lifestyle is the main reason for this:
- Fiber deficiency: If your diet does not contain fresh fruits, green vegetables and whole grains, then the digestive system slows down.
- Water shortage: Due to not drinking water, the intestines start drying up, due to which the stool becomes hard and dry and there is difficulty in passing out.
- Sedentary Lifestyle: Sitting in one place all day long or not doing any physical effort slows down the digestion process.
- Junk Food: Highly processed and fast foods do not provide the body with the essential fiber it needs for digestion.
- Stress and medicines: Excessive stress directly affects the stomach. Apart from this, side effects of some medicines also cause constipation.
5 minute magical way to clean stomach
If you want your stomach to be completely clean as soon as you wake up in the morning, then make these small but effective changes in your daily routine. The first thing after waking up in the morning, sit in ‘Malasan’ (squatting posture) and drink water sip by sip. After this, do these easy exercises for just 5 minutes on the yoga mat:
- Spot Jogging: Stand at your place and do light jogging for 2-3 minutes. This causes movement in the body and the intestines become active.
- Tadasana: Standing straight, stand on your toes with your hands extended upward. Repeat this 10 times. This stretching is great for getting the intestines moving.
- Triyak Tadasana: In the posture of Tadasana, slowly bend the waist to the right and left.
- Kati Chakrasana: Standing straight, rotate your upper body (torso) from the waist to the right and left.
These easy yoga asanas stimulate your intestines, which makes it easier to pass stool. However, along with yoga, do not forget to improve your diet and drink enough water. If the problem of constipation is chronic, increase the amount of fiber in your plate and try to remain stress free.
