Abhijeet Deepke said- ‘Only silence was found’, also replied to the critics

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke targeted the central government as well as those criticizing the movement. He said that despite Sonam Wangchuk’s fast, “only silence was received” from the government. In a message shared on social media platform He said the focus of the debate should be the core issues of the movement, the alleged irregularities in the examination system and the NEET paper leak, and not which political party is supporting the movement.

Abhijeet Deepke raised questions on the silence of the government

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke posted on social media platform Deepke wrote that instead of asking why opposition leaders did not support CJP or why every party member did not sit on a hunger strike with Sonam Wangchuk, questions should be asked that are directly to the accountability of the government. In this sequence, he raised many questions from the Central Government.

Why is the Prime Minister refusing to talk to the agitators?

Why has the Education Minister not been held accountable yet in the NEET paper leak case?

Why is the government still silent on Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike?

Deepke further wrote that the man who, according to him, risked his life to get justice for the students, has received “only silence” from the government. He alleged that the government is not only avoiding accountability but its attitude is also “brutal”.

Questions to accountability should be discussed

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest continues in New Delhi. Meanwhile, party founder Abhijit Deepke said that the discussion at this time should be on those questions for which answers should be sought from the government, and not on such issues which according to him help in shielding those in power from accountability. Deepke said that the basic objective of the movement is to fix accountability on the issue of alleged irregularities in NEET and other examinations and there should be a public discussion on this.

This development has come at a time when many opposition leaders have appealed to Sonam Wangchuk to end her indefinite hunger strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Leaders of various political parties and other public figures have expressed concern over Wangchuk’s health and urged him to end his fast. Also, these leaders have reiterated their support towards the issues being raised against alleged irregularities in NEET and other examinations.

Akhilesh Yadav and Arvind Kejriwal have also expressed support

Many opposition leaders have expressed their support for Sonam Wangchuk’s indefinite fast and have appealed to her to end her hunger strike. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav spoke to Sonam Wangchuk over phone and inquired about her health. He urged Wangchuk to end his indefinite fast, saying that risking one’s life to get the BJP-led government to agree to one’s point is a big deal. Akhilesh Yadav also reiterated his party’s support towards this movement and appealed to give priority to Wangchuk’s health.

Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal had also expressed support for Sonam Wangchuk’s movement. Expressing concern over his health, he also appealed to end the fast. Apart from this, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also publicly requested Wangchuk to end his hunger strike.

CJP will march to Parliament on 20th July

Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has also appealed to Sonam Wangchuk to end her indefinite fast. He expressed support for Wangchuk’s movement and said that his health should be given priority. Sonam Wangchuk has been involved in the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led movement at Jantar Mantar in Delhi since June 28 and has been sitting on an indefinite hunger strike since then.

Meanwhile, CJP has announced to take out a march to Parliament on July 20 to take the movement forward. The organization says that through this march it will raise its demands more strongly on the issue of NEET paper leak and other alleged exam- irregularities. According to the report, the organizers claim that Sonam Wangchuk has lost about 8.5 kg of weight since the hunger strike started on June 28. For this reason, concern about his health is continuously increasing. Meanwhile, many opposition leaders have appealed to him to end his fast, while a PIL has also been filed in the Delhi High Court regarding his health.
