Varanasi. A case has been registered in Rohaniya Police Station against 10 people including BJP District Vice President, Deputy Registrar (Sub Registrar) in the case of fraudulent land grabbing in Varanasi district of UP. This case has been registered on the orders of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Manish Kumar. The case was registered on July 5, which has now come into limelight. Police have registered a case and started investigation. It is alleged that the ancestral land worth about Rs 50 crore of an ailing retired teacher has been grabbed.

Victim Mohansarai resident Pramila Mishra told the court that property worth crores was fraudulently grabbed by taking advantage of the illness and trust of her ailing husband Omprakash Mishra. On the instructions of the court, a case has been registered against BJP District President Vice President Suresh Kumar Singh, Vishal Mishra, Ravi Upadhyay, Varunapati Upadhyay, Nitesh Rai, Ajay Kumar Tiwari, Praveen Kumar Singh, Prashant Kumar Singh and the then sub-registrar Anil Kumar and clerk Satyanshu Singh at Rohania police station.
The victim said in the application that on April 7, 2026, after dialysis, her husband Omprakash Mishra was taken to Gangapur Sub-Regulation Office in a semi-conscious state. There, first the deed of 660 square meters of land was made in the name of Nitesh Rai. After this, about 65 Biswa land and commercial warehouse were registered in the name of Vishal Mishra through two donation deeds. The said property was sold the same night. Her retired teacher husband Omprakash Mishra has been suffering from kidney disease for the last two years. Relative Vishal Mishra and domestic driver Ravi Upadhyay have done this by winning their trust on the pretext of treatment and promising to get Ayushman card made.

Pramila Mishra, a resident of Mohansarai in Rohaniya area, has alleged in the application filed in the court through her advocate that about 70 biswa of her husband, retired teacher Om Prakash Mishra’s ancestral land in Mohansarai, whose estimated value is around Rs 50 crore, was grabbed as part of a well-planned conspiracy.
Allegation of gaining trust on the pretext of treatment
According to the application, Om Prakash Mishra has been suffering from kidney disease for the last two years and has to go to the hospital for dialysis twice a week. It is alleged that his nephew Vishal Mishra and driver Ravi Upadhyay came in contact with him on the pretext of helping him in his treatment and got his mobile number and the registered mobile number linked to his pension account changed on the pretext of getting Ayushman card made and reducing the cost of treatment.
The deed was done by taking it to the registration office.
According to the allegation, on April 7, Vishal Mishra and Ravi Upadhyay took him to a hospital in Mahmoorganj for dialysis, from where he was taken to the registration office in Gangapur. There, with the alleged connivance of the then Deputy Registrar Anil Kumar and Registration Clerk Satyanshu Singh, the deed of about 70 Biswa land and two donation deeds were registered in the names of the close relatives of the accused. The sale and contract deed was also executed on the same day.
