Bullets fired again in PoK, 6 people died in Pakistani army firing, India said result of systematic exploitation

The situation in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) remains tense. On Tuesday, there was a clash again between security forces and protesters in Rawalakot. Six civilians were killed in firing by Pakistani security forces during clashes near the new bus terminal, further increasing anger in the area.

Six people died in the firing

According to media reports, those who lost their lives in the firing included six people including Zahid Mughal, Zafar Mughal, Arsalan Akbar and Wajid Hayat. It is being told that Wajid Hayat died near Matiyal Mira Bus Terminal of Rawalkot. There is an atmosphere of heavy tension in the area after the incident.

Demonstration took place outside the White House also

A day before this incident, people of PoK origin living in Washington DC, America demonstrated outside the White House. The protesters tried to draw the attention of the international community to the deteriorating conditions and humanitarian crisis in the region.

Demand raised to remove Pakistani army

About 100 people took part in the demonstration, including women, children and community representatives. The protesters demanded that the Pakistani army be withdrawn from civilian areas and that allegations of use of force on unarmed people be impartially investigated and action be taken.

Also accused of internet shutdown

The people involved in the protest claimed that due to the disruption of internet services for a long time, about 40 lakh people are cut off from the outside world. He also demanded that humanitarian aid be allowed through Poonch and Doda sectors on the Line of Control (LoC) to provide relief to the affected people. Some protesters also appealed to India to intervene on humanitarian grounds.

Responding to the incident, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the ongoing protests in PoJK are the result of long-standing systematic exploitation of the people there, deprivation of fundamental rights and administrative repression. He said that people’s resentment is continuously increasing in the areas under illegal occupation of Pakistan.
