Japan Open: Sindhu enters second round with easy win, Satwik-Chirag pair withdraws in the middle of the match

Sindhu defeated Malaysian Wong in 35 minutes

Sindhu, who looked comfortable in the rallies, took her lead to 14-9 by hitting her strokes effectively. His backhand net dribble, drop shot and half-smash were accurate. A straight shot gave Sindhu seven game points, and she took the first game on the second.

In the second game too, Sindhu adopted an aggressive attitude from the beginning and did not give any chance to the Malaysian player. After leading 8-2 early, Sindhu was leading 11-3 at the interval. Even after this, he maintained a big lead and then won the match in the second match after gaining 10 match points.

Kapila-Crasto win easily, Rohan-Shivani out

Talking about other Indian players on the court, Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto also entered the second round by defeating Scotland’s Alexander Dunn and Julie McPherson 21-16, 21-14 in their mixed doubles match. However, Rohan Kapoor and Rutvika Shivani Gadde were eliminated from the tournament after losing 11-21, 10-21 against top seeds Feng Yan Zhe and Huang Dong Ping of China in the first round.
