The former Indian captain Rohit Sharma is known to have a great bond with the former Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik. The 2018 Nidahas Trophy final match hero, Dinesh Karthik, is currently in England for his commentary duties that started with the 2026 ICC T20 Women's World Cup and have been continued to the ongoing ODI series between the Indian and English men's teams.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the main catch for many and have eventually been former teammates to DK. Kohli even played under his mentorship and won two back-to-back IPL trophies for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. On July 14, India is playing England at Birmingham in the first ODI.
And as a basic gesture, DK waited at the boundary, right near the exit. Rohit was the first one to come out and eventually shook hands. However, while DK was preparing to greet Kohli, who was busy doing his obeisance at the boundary, Rohit literally stopped and kicked DK on his pelvis, stunning the latter.
Even though DK did greet Kohli properly after that, he had big shocked grin on his face as he exchanged a few more words with Rohit Sharma. The entire incident happened before the match even started and the players were actually warming up on the field.
