Passengers arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s Terminal 2 can now enjoy an all-you-can-eat durian buffet, with prices starting from RM98 (US$24) per person.
Diners can pay an additional RM40 to enjoy premium durian varieties such as Musang King and Black Thorn, according to information from the Facebook page of gateway@klia2, the shopping mall situated between the drop-off area and KLIA Terminal 2 where the one-hour buffet is held.
Beyond the durian buffet, visitors can sample a range of local specialties, including aromatic white coffee, durian Swiss rolls, freeze-dried durians and other durian-infused treats.

Malaysia is famous for durian, often called the “king of fruits”, due to its diverse varieties and popularity, especially the Musang King. The country has a strong reputation for its premium quality durians.
Durian season in Malaysia typically starts around June or July, and could last until September.
The Southeast Asian country launched Asia’s first durian experience center in Kuala Lumpur on July 7, aiming to strengthen the country’s position as a premier culinary and tourism destination.
Since 2024, Malaysia has introduced durian-themed tour packages that take visitors to orchards while offering activities such as glamping and jungle trekking.
The country hosts all-you-can-eat durian buffets during the peak harvest season to attract tourists.
